Minnesota Life Insurance
Minnesota life insurance is not strictly regulated. However
there are few statutes that are in place for the protection
of consumers.
One of these statutes is the one month grace period on
late premium payments. An individual’s coverage will not
be cancelled as long as the account is brought current
within the grace period.
Another form of consumer protection is that the insurance
company is required to pay interest on any claim from
the date of an individual’s death until the settlement
date. The interest rate increases if they fail to pay
the proceeds within 60 days.
Finding the right life insurance company is very important.
If you get the wrong coverage you or your family might
not have enough to meet your financial needs in the case
that the unthinkable happens. On the other hand, you could
end up paying more than necessary.
Be sure to shop around and compare rates and services
offered by your insurance company.
