Important Colorado Auto
Insurance Laws!
1. All vehicles registered or operated in AL are required
to be covered by a liability insurance policy.
Important to Note:
Prior to July 1, 2003, Colorado insurance was issued
as a "no-fault" policy. That meant that property
damage was covered by the "at-fault" party;
but the personal injury could be claimed whether or not
the party was the negligent or "at-fault" party.
However, now Colorado is based on a "tort"
system -which is a standard policy based on the premise
that the "at-fault" party pays for all damages
-personal and property.
